My annual attendance at this Xmas Fair.
Well done to everyone who braved the wind and rain to be there.
Always a fun event, well organised and a supportive atmosphere.

Brilliant day with lots of interest from the visitors.
Riding a wave from the York Steiner event, this was a very successful
day in terms of the cross-section of my books sold.
Many thanks to all the lovely people I met.

Excellent local arts and crafts fair run by York Steiner School.
Met some amazing people, and sold a good cross-section of my books,
including my latest work, 'Nexus'.
All-in-all, a super day !
ILKLEY MOOR VAULTS - 3 Oct 2024 NATIONAL POETRY DAY
My first time at this venue, a lovely pub.
I opened with a few railway limericks, and also gave a first outing to 3 poems from 'Nexus'.
A nice supportive atmosphere, some highly entertaining readers (prose, poetry, memoirs)
and hopefully the first of many visits here.
RIPON POETRY FESTIVAL - 21 Sept 2024
Delighted that my poem 'Stage Fright' has been included in this year's Ripon Poetry Anthology. Got a chance to read it to the 100 or so fellow writers at the anthology launch event - no pressure with a title like that ! Some super poetry recited by everyone at an enthusiastic celebratory gathering.
Also read from my new book 'Nexus' at the Open Mic on 19th Sept, with a few daft limericks thrown in too !

Such a great environment, very supportive, people sharing their poems
about everything from biscuits to war zones.
I joined in with 'Camomile Tea' (about amnesia)
and 'Holding Forth' (a jokey one about politicians).
Next one 17th Jan 2024 ... looking forward to it !

RIPON POETRY FESTIVAL 23 Sep 2023
Celebration of the launch of Creative Juices, the anthology of commended entries in the Ripon Poetry Competition 2023.
I read my poem 'Cancer Ward' which has been selected for inclusion in the book.
A gathering of around 100 people with many interesting and entertaining readings.
Roll on next year's event !
